‘Mosaics’ present variety of performing arts

A mix of dancing and singing — a mosaic, if you will — will be presented at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 16, and 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, in Robinson Theatre at Colorado Mesa University’s Moss Performing Arts Center, 1231 N. 12th St.

“Mosaics: Where Ballet, Jazz, Hip-Hop and Music Come Together” will feature performances by dancers in the pre-professional companies at Absolute Dance.

Singer/singwriter Destinee Reed will perform several songs during the two-act show.

Many of the dance pieces were set by well-known dancer/choreographers from across the United States and around the world, who came to Grand Junction to teach the dances, according to a news release.

Advance tickets cost $10 for adults, $8 for students and seniors and $6 for children. Advance tickets can be purchased at absolutedancegj.com/Mosaic-tickets.html or at Absolute Dance, 2964 Interstate 70 Business Loop. Ticket purchased at the door will cost an additional $3.
