Overnight stabbing; one arrested

One man was arrested near midnight Sunday after the Grand Junction Police Department responded to a stabbing near Colorado Mesa University.

Initially the officers were dispatched to 2150 College Place.  Witness accounts led them to an apartment building at 1105 Bookcliff Ave. One man was stabbed in the finger, treated at the scene, and was not taken to the hospital.

Joseph Buk, 30. of Grand Junction, was arrested and charged with first degree criminal trespass, second degree assault with injury, and criminal mischief. He was transported to the Mesa County jail.
