Pollux: Shoulder pads

By IVY PARNASIUS

Special to the Sentinel

I sleep well most nights knowing that designers across the world are creating fashions to make every woman look more beautiful. My peaceful sleep was interrupted recently when I saw a disturbing trend — shoulder pads.

For anyone over the age of 30, shoulder pads need no explanation.

For everyone else, they are simply extra pads sewn in that accentuate the upper body. To be fair, this look is very flattering on some women. It draws attention to the waist and creates a curvy silhouette.

On others, they exaggerate the appearance of ample shoulders.

Whether you love them, or love to hate them shoulder pads are back in style. Are they a fashion do or don’t? I would like to hear your opinion.
