Bowl season

The Palisade High School Art Department and the school’s ProStart culinary students have teamed up to host the 6th annual Souper Bowl from 5–7 p.m. in Palisade High School’s cafeteria.

For $15, people can select a handmade ceramic bowl and fill it up with soup, bread and desserts.

The bowls and food are made by Palisade students.

Proceeds from the event go to the ProStart program and the art department.


Saturday, Jan. 28

It’s electric

Dance enthusiasts unite for the Winter Womp Electronic Dance Party at 9 p.m. at Mesa Theater & Lounge, 538 Main St.

Five different musical acts will get the energy levels up for this show that is open to people 16 and older.

Admission is $10 for those 16 to 20, and $5 for those 21 and older.


Sunday, Jan. 29

X marks the spot

Lovers of extreme sports can head to Buttermilk mountain in Aspen to check out the final day of ESPN’s Winter X Games.

On the schedule for the final day are the Skier X finals, Snowmobile Best Trick finals and the Men’s Snowboard SuperPipe Final.

Admission is free. Dress warm.
