Sample your home for radon.
It is inexpensive and easy to mitigate if levels are high.
Even the hormesis folks accept that radon is not good for you above certain levels; that is what is in dispute (2 pCi/L or 4 pCi/L or 10 pCi/L or ?).
Smoking makes your chances for a bad ending go up; so consider quitting smoking.  Those 2 things are the most effective at reducing your chances of lung cancer.
The epidemiology for hormesis is not very robust, so take caution in hanging your hat on hormesis; espeically if you are young, pregnant, or have a weak disposition.
