Concerts, meal at St. Mary’s in Montrose
The Damascus, Maryland United Methodist Church Charles Wesley Singers and the Academy of St. Cecilia Youth Orchestra will present concerts at 7 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 1855 St. Mary’s Drive, in Montrose.
Prior to each concert will be a community-wide dinner, sponsored by Knights of Columbus Council 1188, beginning at 5:45 p.m. Those attending are asked to bring a side dish to share.

Keith Moore to speak at Faith Heights
Faith Heights Church, 600 28 1/4 Road, will host guest minister Keith Moore at services June 20–21.
The Rev. Moore will speak at 7 p.m. Thursday and at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. Friday.
All are welcome and child care will be provided at each service.

Kingdom Rock takes place June 24-28
Living Stone Church will sponsor Kingdom Rock, a summer event for kids in kindergarten through fifth grade, scheduled from 9 a.m.–noon June 24–28 at 2971 North Ave.
Kids will participate in Bible-learning activities, songs, teamwork-building games and more. Each day will conclude with Fanfare Finale, a celebration that gets everyone involved in living what they’ve learned. Family members and friends are encouraged to join daily at 11:30 a.m.

Celebrate end of slavery in our nation
First Congregational Church is encouraging the community to participate in its Juneteenth recognition happening June 23 at 1425 N. Fifth St.
Juneteenth, a celebration of the end of slavery in our nation, is recognized June 19 as a day of prayer, celebrating and sharing good times in freedom at picnics, barbecues and outings.
The intergenerational worship will feature special music and songs from gospel tradition, poetry and readings and a presentation of Acts 16:35 by some of the church’s dramatists.

Camp for kids at Clifton Christian
Clifton Christian Church will offer a camp for kids in kindergarten through second grade June 28–29 at the church.
The camp is for young kids who want their own camping experience and will feature tents set up in the gym.
Check-in will be at 5:30 Friday night with cleanup at 8:30 Saturday morning. There will be a dinner, chapel lesson, games, s’mores and more. Sponsors encourage a parent to stay with each child. Cost is $10.
