Prison Ministry holding Montrose gala

Good News Jail and Prison Ministry will present a Western fundraising banquet,“Changing Lives Through Jesus Christ,” on Oct. 21, at Crossroads Victory Church, 515 Hillcrest Drive in Montrose.

Doors will open at 6 p.m. and the Western barbecue meal will be served at 6:30 p.m. Come dressed for a ball or riding the range during this night of western elegance.

Cost is $35 per person and proceeds will support Chaplain Tim Bergstrom, the full-time chaplain at Chapel of Hope at the Delta Correctional Center.

Marriage, family ministry event at Faith


Guest speakers Ken and Trudi Blount will share experiences from their many years in marriage and family ministry during three days of services at Faith Heights Church, 600 28 1/4 Road.

The Blounts will speak at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21, 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 22 and 10 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 23, sharing “wisdom, practical experience and passion to inspire and equip families to rise up and become strong,” a news release said.

Everyone is invited and child care will be provided.
