After-school activities: Chamber orchestra, dive team, National Honor Society, and Tri-M Music Honor Society.
Favorite book: “The Glass Castle” by Jeanette Walls.
Favorite TV show: “Gilmore Girls.”
Favorite band or musician: B.O.B. or Vampire Weekend.
Parents: Andrea Christensen and James Black.
Personal hero and why: My Bestefar; he always had a smile on his face and a skip to his step.
Preferred college: University of Colorado — Boulder.
Preferred career: Something that will make me happy.
What is your greatest achievement so far: Making it through high school while maintaining my grades and having a good time.
What you would like to be your next greatest achievement: Having a successful career that I love.
Q: What has been your most memorable experience in high school?
A: Out of the many, I would have to say being a part of the dive team, where I met all of my best friends.
Q: What is your favorite subject and why?
A: Math. I like the analytical thinking and problem solving.
Q: What are you looking for in a college (or other post-high school education, career or military pursuit)?
A: I am hoping to find my passion and apply it to the rest of my life.
Q: What would you tell a freshman who wants to make the most of his or her years in high school?
A: To branch out, try new things, and talk to everyone because they will benefit from each and every conversation or experience. Most importantly, to have fun!
Q: If you could volunteer anywhere in the world, where would you go and what would you do?
A: I would go to a developing country and offer education because teaching the people will benefit them not only in the present but for generations to come.
Q: Name three things you want to accomplish before age 30.
A: Get my master’s degree, bungee jump off a bridge, and live abroad.
