■ Alexander Langley of Grand Junction was named to the spring 2017 semester honor roll at the University of Kansas in Lawrence, Kansas.

■ Area students received degrees April 29 from Fort Lewis College in Durango:

Chelsea Ficken of Rangely and Jacob Crosby of Grand Junction both graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in business administration; William Scoggins of Rangely graduated with a bachelor’s degree in engineering; Nicholas Kesler of Hotchkiss graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in English; Blythe Crow of Grand Junction graduated with a bachelor’s degree in exercise science; Sarah Talbott of Palisade graduated with a bachelor’s degree in geology; Elizabeth Price of Grand Junction graduated with a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies; Corey Henricksen of Grand Junction graduated with a bachelor’s degree in political science; and Ashley Williford of Parachute graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in theatre.

■ Matthew Ness of Grand Junction was named to the spring 2017 semester dean’s list at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa.

■ Mia Brabaek of Grand Junction was awarded a $500 scholarship from law firm LaCroix and Hand, P.C. Brabaek is attending Western Colorado Community College in Grand Junction, seeking an applied science/visual communications degree.
