Phillips published in language arts book

J.B. Phillips, assistant principal at Bookcliff Middle School, was recently published in the book “Returning the Arts to Language Arts: Imaginative Literacies,” released by Royal Fireworks Press.

In the book, leading teachers of the Colorado Network of the Bread Loaf School of English each share some of their “best practices.”

The research-based and writing-centered practices, all applicable for multi-ability classrooms, re-equip teachers who are determined to resist the pressures of “teaching to” state tests while they face devastating budget cuts to programs for the creative arts.
