Connections session set
Colorado Connections Academy will sponsor an informational session from 6:30 to 8 p.m. today at the DoubleTree by Hilton, 743 Horizon Drive.
Connections Academy is an online public school for students in kindergarten through 12thgrade. The school is enrolling students now for the 2014–15 school year.

Caprock meeting planned
Caprock Academy will sponsor a public informational meeting from 6 to 7 p.m. April 29 at the school’s campus, 714 24 1/2 Road.
The meeting will provide enrollment information for grades K-12 for the 2014–15 school year and explain the philosophy and programs of the charter school.
Additional public informational meetings are scheduled May 6 and May 20.
Caprock Academy’s open enrollment for the 2014–15 school year is underway.
Completed enrollment packets will be accepted from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday in the administration office.
Ninth- through 11-grade enrollment will continue through Oct. 1.
Enrollment for first through eighth grade will continue through Jan. 23, 2015.

■ Area students earned the dean’s citation for academic excellence for the fall 2013 semester in the Monfort College of Business at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley.
The students are Stephanie Ryken of Fruita, Elizabeth Connor of Grand Junction, Patrick Sullivan of Hotchkiss, Julia Gross of Mesa and Kaitlyn Talbott of Palisade.
■ Julie Kembel of Grand Junction and Rose Peterson of Rangely were named to the fall 2013 dean’s list for academic excellence at Biola University in La Mirada, Calif.
