Q&A:

Q: What has been your favorite class in high school and why?

A: I really liked history. It’s very interesting and fun to learn about.

Q: How do you prepare for a big test?

A: I read my notes out loud a few times the night before. Seeing and hearing what I need to know helps me remember.

Q: If you could have your pick of service projects, who would you help and how?

A: I would help kids who have lost a parent with their school work, because I had such a hard time focusing in the year after my mom’s death.

Q: What does it say under “interests” on your Facebook page?

A: Roping, hunting, fishing, working and getting money.

Q: What’s the best advice a teacher, coach or parent has ever given you?

A: “Good better best, never let it rest, until your good is better and your better is best.”

Q: Where would you like to be in 10 years?

A: Have an engineering degree and be rodeoing professionally all year. My degree is a fallback if the rodeo thing doesn’t work out.
