After-school activities: Football, basketball, work, hunting, fishing and dirt biking.

Favorite book: “Prey” by Michael Crichton.

Favorite TV Show: “Nitro Circus,” “Fantasy Factory,” “South Park.”

Favorite band or musician: The Game.

Parents: Tony and Tammi Padilla.

Personal hero and why: My parents, because I hope I can be half as good as parents as they have been to me.

Preferred college: I love Duke University, but I’m currently undecided.

Preferred career: My kid dreams are to be a professional athlete, but as a realist I would be happy as an engineer.

Greatest achievement so far: First-team academic all state in basketball, Superintendent’s Award, National Honors Society member, Rachel’s Challenge team leader.

What you’d like to be your next greatest achievement: Have my college experience as successful as my high school career.


Q: What has been your favorite high school class so far and why?

A: Chemistry because Mrs. Jones made it an enjoyable experience.

Q: What do you do for fun when you’re not in class?

A: Basketball, fish, hunt, dirt bike, water skiing and hang out with friends and family.

Q: What’s the best advice a teacher, coach or parent ever gave you?

A: It’s not really “advice” but I live by the motto that if someone says you can’t do something, or that I’m not good enough, I go out of my way and work harder to prove them wrong.

Q: What will you miss about your school after graduation?

A: I will miss the “family” feel of Central High School.

Q: What would you like to do after college?

A: Become an engineer and see where it takes me.

Q: If you could spend next summer anywhere in the world, where would you go?

A: Hawaii or Costa Rica. I want to travel and see the world.
