William Francis Schaefer of Grand Junction received a Bachelor of Arts degree in integrated international studies on June 4 from Knox College in Galesburg, Ill.
Carol Kreimier of Rifle graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in special education May 8 from Gonzaga University in Spokane, Wash.
Michael Hurd and Molly Crocker, both of Grand Junction, received degrees during commencement ceremonies May 29 at Cornell University in Ithaca, N.Y.
Kayla Drayton of Grand Junction was named to the spring 2011 semester dean’s list at Southern Utah University in Cedar City, Utah.
Amber M. Dove, a 2006 graduate of Mesa State College, obtained a Master of Arts degree in English with an emphasis in British and American literature from Kansas State University. She graduated with distinction and won graduate awards for her critical essay in literature and children’s literature.
Charlotte Mooney of Grand Junction was named to the spring 2011 semester dean’s list at Seaver College in Malibu, Calif.
Abbey Jean Canon of Crawford and John P. Banister of Grand Junction were named to the spring 2011 semester dean’s list at Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa.
Cierra Nicole LeVan and Zachary Bush were selected to perform with the Sound of America Honor Band and Chorus.
Traveling with The Sound of America Tour, LeVan and Bush joined other select student musicians July 1 at Elizabethtown College in Elizabethtown, Pa. After a four-day intensive rehearsal and orientation, the group will depart for Europe, where it is scheduled to present nine performances in some of Europe’s finest concert halls and major cathedrals during a 23-day concert tour through Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, France and Luxembourg.
Bush will attend Colorado State University in the fall, where he will major in bass performance. LeVan, a 2011 graduate of Central High School, will join the U.S. Marine Corps.
Kristin C. Wihera of Grand Junction was named to the spring 2011 semester dean’s list at Boston University in Boston.
Chelsea Kobylarz of Grand Junction graduated cum laude April 30 with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Bethel College in Mishawaka, Ind.
DeAnne Jacobsen of Grand Junction enrolled in IntelliTec College’s business and administrative technology program. She is one of 10 recipients of the Imagine America Foundation’s LDRSHIP award, which is given annually to students who are on active duty or are reservists, or have been honorably discharged from the military.
Brianna Castellini of Grand Junction was named to the spring 2011 semester dean’s list at Pacific University in Forest Grove, Ore.
Brittany Ann Judge of Grand Junction and Brackett L. Pollard of Silt received degrees from Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Okla.
Chelsea Debra Frazier of Grand Junction was named to the spring 2011 Provost Honor Roll at University of Wyoming in Laramie, Wyo.
