Suspect ID’d in fatal hit-and-run crash in Denver

DENVER — Police have identified a man suspected in a hit-and-run crash that killed a 61-year-old pedestrian in Denver.

KUSA-TV reports (http://on9news.tv/11TND9N) 30-year-old Jim Artis Tillmon is wanted for failure to report an accident involving death. Police say he tried to bypass a line of cars stuck in rush-hour traffic by moving into the center turn lane and struck Zewde Ali as she was crossing a street in southeast Denver on Thursday evening.

Tillmon is currently on parole and has an extensive criminal record dating to 2003.
