Road closures and maintenance projects may affect traffic this week:

2012 Interstate 70 Business Roadway Construction – Phase 2: Colorado Department of Transportation and Interstate Highway Construction, Inc. are nearing completion of the I-70B Widening Project to improve Highway 6 & 50 between 24 3/4 Road past the 25 Road intersection. Work is scheduled to continue over the next two weeks until all electrical and landscaping work is completed.

Curb, Gutter and Sidewalk Replacement: Work will take place at 2681 G 1/2 Road and on Northridge Drive and Star Court.

Warranty Repairs at 29 Road and I-70B Interchange: Concrete repairs to curb, gutter and medians will be done by the project contractor on Wednesday.

There will be a lane closure on I-70B and a lane closure on 29 Road, just north of the D 1/2 Road intersection, throughout the day.

Sewer Interceptor Repair and Replacement Night Work: Night work from 6:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. to install cured-in-place concrete pipe at the following locations:

Tuesday night, Layne Inliner will be rehabilitating the 15” sanitary sewer line from the southeast corner of the Division of Wildlife offices (711 W. Independent Ave.) to Base Rock Street.

One lane closure along Independent Avenue adjacent to 711 W. Independent Ave. The center turn lane will be closed. The east and westbound lanes will remain open with some delays.

Base Rock Street will remain open with some traffic control.

Wednesday and Thursday nights, rehabilitation of the existing 24” sanitary sewer line from Independent Avenue and 25 1/2 Road west to U.S. Highway 6 & 50.

The eastbound lane along Independent Avenue will be closed. Through traffic will remain open with the turn lane utilized for eastbound traffic.

City Waterline Replacement Projects – 24th Street: Waterline work continues on 24th Street from Orchard to Bookcliff Avenue. Residents who live on the north side of Orchard Avenue are encouraged to use 26th Street for access. The project is estimated to be completed by Nov. 16.

Central Grand Valley Sanitation District (CGVSD) Sewer Line Replacement Project: CGVSD is replacing the existing sewer line in Karen Lee Subdivision on F 1/4 Road, 29 1/4 Road, Karen Lee Drive and Karen Court. The project will continue through the third week in November.

Mesa County Bridge closure at 17 1/2 Road and M.3 Road: Mesa County has closed the bridge north of Fruita on 17 1/2 Road and M.3 Road while the bridge is being rebuilt. The closure is in place through Dec. 15.
