Traffic alert, Nov. 24, 2013

Road closures and maintenance projects may affect traffic this week:

22 Road Realignment Project at U.S. Highway 6: Traffic on U.S. Highway 6 between Valley Court and Sanford Drive is narrowed to one lane in both directions and shifted to the north side of the highway. 22 Road north of U.S. Highway 6 has reopened to through traffic. Work off the roadway will continue and result in daytime shoulder closures. There will be lane shifts during the day on U.S. Highway 6 to accommodate lane striping and installation of street lighting and signage.

29 Road Overpass at I-70B: Crews will be repainting the catch fence that runs along both sides of the overpass. 29 Road will be restricted to one lane in each direction from 9 a.m.–3:30 p.m. Monday through Wednesday. Expect delays.

North Avenue between Fifth Street and Ninth Street: Xcel Energy is replacing the street light electric lines with a new underground system. North Avenue will be restricted to one lane in each direction from 8:30 a.m.–4 p.m. Monday through Wednesday. Expect delays.

15th Street between Orchard Avenue and Walnut Avenue: 15th Street is closed for sanitary sewer replacement. Detour route is in place. Local access for residents will be provided.

Colorado Avenue, Sixth Street to 12th Street: Colorado Avenue will see some closures along with the side streets. The 24” sanitary sewer line is being rehabilitated as part of the 2013 Sewer Interceptor Repair and Replacement Project. Local access will be provided.

Leaf Removal Program: Slow down and drive with caution in neighborhoods where city crews are picking up leaves.
