Members of the Circle K Kiwanis Club from Colorado Mesa University in April donated handmade blankets to children being treated at St. Mary’s Hospital. More than 70 CMU students made the blankets in March. Mike and Kerri Strasser, far right, head the local chapter of Project Linus.



Sandy McFarland caught this snowy view of the Bookcliffs from her Redlands home on May 18.



Glenna Hopkins spotted two families of Canada geese in a canal behind her home in Montrose on May 18.



When she saw Mount Garfield covered in show on May 17, Susan Justice decided to take a drive to Grand Mesa for some photos. This one was taken at Mesa Lakes Lodge.

The Little Free Library was installed on April 28 at the corner of Aspen and Mulberry streets in Fruita. It was created by Cullen Purser and sponsored by Humanists Doing Good. “We hope the residents of Fruita enjoy it!” wrote Velvet Johnson with this photo.



“My husband, Herb Stedman, took this picture of low clouds at the foothills of the Grand Mesa after a rainy day. In the snow, I see a bear with a fish in its mouth and a duck to the left of the bear. Do you see it?” wrote Priscilla Stedman.
