You Saw It, March 20

Evan Schroeder wanted no presents for himself for his birthday party. Instead he asked his friends to donate food and litter for the cats at CLAWS. Evan is a member of Cub Scout Pack 318 and a student at Holy Family Catholic School. He was inspired by some younger members of his scout pack who were collecting items for CLAWS. New Grand Mesa Jeep Club President Cody Lange presented outgoing President Jeff Bates with a token of appreciation for his three years of leadership. “Even though temperatures climbed above freezing during January, the Gunnison River remained frozen where the water backs up behind the Redlands diversion dam. The setting sun backlit the panicles of tall fescue grass growing on the banks,” wrote Kurt Neuswanger, who took this photo of the Gunnison River south of Grand Junction with his smartphone on Jan. 19.



Timothy King holds his grandson, Clayton Cunningham, during the holidays when Clayton was about 4 months old. Clayton is the son of Phillip and Hannah Cunningham and the grandson of Timothy and Debbie King.
