Charles has worked in newspapers across Colorado and in a handful of other states since graduating from college, but has covered politics and the Legislature in Colorado since 1997, working at the State Capitol Building in Denver for various daily newspapers in the state. Now he lives in Grand Junction, but still goes to Denver during the legislative session.
