120 years: 1937

It was an important year for paleontology. In 1937, three dinosaurs are unearthed at Riggs Hill, and a mammal fossil, the Sparactolambda looki, is discovered by Al Look.

Legendary African-American cowboy Charlie Glass is killed in a car crash near Cisco, Utah, under questionable circumstances. Jeannette Morris is murdered in a Barbary Coast shanty on Colorado Avenue. Eddie Drapela moves to Grand Junction and begins offering flying lessons. Grand Junction Junior College is renamed Mesa College.
