Lots of dust is being kicked up in Mesa County in 1991. A rash of local pipe bombings cause several deaths.

Men and women leave home to serve the country in the Middle East and Operation Desert Storm. President George H. W. Bush and first lady Barbara visit Grand Junction and speak in front of the courthouse.

Mesa State College begins offering students the opportunity for teacher certification degrees, and the newly renovated WW Campbell Student Center is reopened.

Fuoco Motors builds a new showroom and service center in the same location as the old one at 741 N. First Street. Sam Suplizio is inducted into the Colorado Sports Hall of Fame the year after the baseball stadium at Stocker Field is named in his honor.
