1) Not sure that Lake Powell is a ‘natural wonder.’  2) Naming it after JW Powell is an affront as it is 180 degrees contrary to what he recommended and 3) If the GOP of today were in charge then it never would have been built as it is, in fact, ‘socialistic’ on a massive scale.  Finally, Josh’s simplistic understanding of history may allow him to work in his shot against ‘environmentalists’ but I am not sure it meshes with what an honest observer would call ‘reality.’

It’s just another symptom of what a socialistic nanny state our country has become.

The turning point of my faith in this country was with Senator Jesse Helm’s comment when the “Simpson’s” TV series was launched… “It’s part of the dumbing down of America.”

We as a nation have lost a majority of our national pride. Selfishness, self-centeredness and greed have become more important than caring about your fellow man. Celebrating and rewarding under-achievement is the norm.

We’d have never made it to the moon in the 60’s if we had the attitudes we have today. Even though we won the space battle against the socialists in the USSR, we’re losing the war against socialism now. The USSR always said they wouldn’t have to conquer us, we would destroy ourselves from within.

They were right!
