Airline still struggling to recover from hail
DENVER — Frontier Airlines has canceled 15 more flights because of a hail storm that damaged many of its planes last week.
Spokesman Peter Kowalchuk says the airline was able to restore three more flights today, but another 10 cancellations are expected on Wednesday.
The cancellations bring the total since Wednesday evening’s storm to nearly 220. However, the airline has contracted with charter airlines to replace 36 flights this week.
The hail storm at Frontier’s main hub damaged 18 of the airline’s 59 large Airbus planes. Five have returned to service,
