Aspen couple on mission to quiet restaurants
ASPEN — An Aspen couple on a mission to reduce noise and music from restaurants wants an injunction that would ban all music after 10 p.m.
The restaurants say the couple bought condos in a vibrant nightlife district and now want to turn it into a bedroom community.
The Aspen Daily News reports that Michael Sedoy and his wife have called police 18 times since January with noise complaints (http://bit.ly/1hy0GT3). They have sued the city of Aspen to seek quieter restaurants.
They own two condos in the Ute City building, home of two restaurants. The city claims they are illegally preventing restaurant patrons and other residential tenants from using the front entrance.
The couple filed counterclaims. A hearing date on the injunction was to be set Tuesday.
