Bennet sponsors business workshop

Western Colorado businesses can learn about how to expand into the international marketplace at a workshop this month sponsored by U.S. Sen. Michael Bennet, D-Colo.

Attendees of the workshop, “Beyond Colorado: How to Bring Your Products and Services to the Global Marketplace,” will hear from panelists who have a broad range of experience in exporting products, financing overseas distribution and protecting intellectual property.

The Colorado Department of Agriculture, U.S. Department of Commerce, Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade and the Colorado Bar Association Intellectual Property Section all will offer presentations.

Other organizations participating in the workshop include Club 20, the Grand Junction Economic Partnership. Business Incubator Center and the Grand Junction Area Chamber of Commerce.

There is no cost to attend, but space is limited. Participants may RSVP by Feb. 19 at http://www.bennet.senate.gov/beyondcolorado.

The workshop will run from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Feb. 20 in the Colorado Mesa University Academic Classroom Building, 1400 Houston Ave., Room 110.
