Measure to allow grocery store beer sales appears dead
A measure that would have allowed grocery and convenience stores to sell full-strength beer is all but dead.
Although the House still hasn’t formally voted to kill it, only 18 of the House’s 65 members stood in support of it after nearly three hours of
debate today.
A formal vote is expected in the next few hours.
It’s demise will mark the third year in a row the idea had failed.
