■ Michael Pietrack, an executive recruiter at Management Recruiters of Grand Junction, was the 2013 top performer in the MRINetwork, a worldwide organization of more than 600 offices and 3,000 recruiters, considered the world’s largest recruitment organization.
Pietrack and his team, including project manager Ken Wesolowski and researcher LeeAnn Flowers, finished the year 15 percent ahead of the next closest team, based on sales volume.
Now in his seventh year in the search industry, Pietrack has also achieved the status of certified senior account manager at MRI due to his tireless training of new hires and his mentoring of colleagues across the network.
As in most industries, the majority of recruiting offices are located in major metropolitan areas where client companies are clustered.
However, with clever planning and the leveraging of social networking and online capabilities, Pietrack and his team have been able to match and exceed the production of his competitors while operating in Grand Junction, far removed from the biotech and pharmaceutical industry he serves.
