BLM to double fees at Glade Park campground

The Bureau of Land Management next month will double the camping fee at the Mud Springs Campground on Glade Park to cover the cost of maintaining the area.

The agency announced this afternoon it will increase the camping fee from $5 to $10 a night beginning July 9.

More than 1,000 people visit the campground annually. Those visitors generated about $3,300 in fees last year, but that’s not enough to cover the $5,300 annual cost to operate and maintain the campground, BLM spokeswoman Vanessa Delgado said.
