2 suspects steal scrap metal

Crime Stoppers of Mesa County is seeking information about a burglary that occurred in January.

Just before 12:30 p.m. Jan. 13, an unidentified man and an unknown woman unlawfully entered Tile Meister at 611 N. First St. and stole copper and aluminum scrap materials and a cast iron bath tub. Total loss is estimated at less than $2,000. Surveillance photos are available at http://www.241stop.com.

According to the Grand Junction Police Department:

■ A known person may have failed to register as a sex offender April 6. The case is under investigation.

■ Eric Hansen, 28, was arrested and released on a summons for shoplifting at 2881 North Ave. on April 9.

■ Brandy Willow, 37, was arrested and released on a summons for shoplifting at 2881 North Ave. on April 9.

■ Devon Rexwinkle, 15, is accused of concealing a weapon at 1400 N. Fifth St. on April 10.

■ Richard Owens, 41, was arrested and jailed for allegedly violating a protection order at 636 South Ave. on April 10.

■ Mischa Leavitt, 39, is accused of harassing a victim in the 1600 Block of North Avenue April 10.
