Construction tools stolen

Construction tools valued at more than $1,000 were taken Monday from a construction site at Colorado Mesa University.

A person or people stole the tools from 1600 Cannell Ave.

The construction site will be the future home of a student housing building that will be known as Renaissance Village. The four-story residence hall is scheduled to open this summer and will house up to 208 first-year students.

 

According to the Grand Junction Police Department:

■ A person is being investigated on suspicion of sexually assaulting a child as far back as June 2012 in the downtown area.

■ Damage of less than $500 was caused to a lock Wednesday in the 2800 block of North Avenue.

■ Items were damaged and stolen from a vehicle Wednesday in the 2800 block of North Avenue. Loss was less than $500.

■ Items valued at less than $500 were stolen Wednesday from a vehicle in the 1200 block of Houston Avenue.

 

The Mesa County Sheriff’s Department did not release booking or activity reports Saturday.
