Meth possession suspected
James Delbert Knapp, 34, 1536 Glenwood Ave., was arrested early Thursday morning on suspicion of possessing methamphetamine.
According to the Grand Junction Police Department, Knapp was contacted near 14th Street and Grand Avenue while officers were in the area investigating a 911 hang up. Knapp was found to have two active warrants for his arrest.
Further investigation found that Knapp had methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, according to police. He was arrested and booked into the Mesa County Jail.
According to the Grand Junction Police Department:
■ James Odell Jr., 41, and Robert David Stevens, 39, were arrested April 13 during a traffic stop at North Avenue and 12th Street on suspicion of possessing more than 2 grams of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
■ Someone stole items valued at more than $1,000 and caused more than $500 in damage to two businesses in the 2000 block of South Broadway on April 14.
■ Donald Dwayne Chandler, 50, 564 Eastmoor Drive, was arrested Tuesday night in the 100 block of West Main Street on suspicion of assaulting his wife and causing her pain.
■ Michael Roybal, 47, was issued a summons Wednesday afternoon on suspicion of shoplifting from Walmart, 2881 North Ave.
■ Alexander Garza, 22, and Haley Stoffel, 20, were issued summonses Thursday night on suspicion of being in Eagle Rim Park after hours.
According to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Department:
■ The Mesa County Sheriff’s Department didn’t release a booking report or daily resume Saturday.
