Victim of fatal crash ID’d

The driver of a truck involved in an accident south of Montrose on U.S. Highway 550 Tuesday morning has been identified as Blaine A. Tankersley, 26, of Montrose.

An autopsy revealed Tankersley died of multiple traumatic injuries suffered in the collision, according to Montrose County Coroner Dr. Thomas M. Canfield, and the manner of death was accidental.

 

According to the Grand Junction Police Department:

■ Items valued at more than $1,000 were stolen from a residence in the 700 block of Egret Circle April 12.

■ Michael Wulfeck, 65, was issued a summons Sunday morning at Patterson Road and 7th Street on suspicion of driving with a revoked license and with expired license plates.

■ Joshua Alvin Ramsey, 27, of Rifle, was arrested early Monday morning in the 1600 block of North Avenue on suspicion of possessing less than two grams of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, and on an active warrant.

■ Mark Lewellen, 50, was issued a summons Monday afternoon on suspicion of shoplifting items valued at less than $100 from Walmart, 2881 North Ave.

■ Thien Chi Phan, 46, 2509 Pierce Ave., was arrested Monday night in the 2600 block of Patterson Road, on suspicion of criminal impersonation, speeding and driving with no proof of insurance.

■ Skye Lee Bieker, 21, 3268 E Road, No. 21, was arrested early Tuesday morning in the 400 block of 28 Road on suspicion of unlawfully entering and damaging a vehicle and attempting to steal it.

■ Mailys Curley, 19, and Garrison Yazzie, 29, were issued summonses Tuesday afternoon on suspicion of shoplifting items valued at less than $100 from Walmart, 2881 North Ave.

■ Todd Schultz, 39, was issued a summons early Wednesday morning at U.S. Highway 6&50 and 23 Road on suspicion of driving with a revoked license.

 

According to the Fruita Police Department:

■ Officers responded to Little Salt Wash Park April 13 on a report of a harassment call between two parents of a child playing soccer.

■ Jamie Rodriguez, 27, and Nicholas Herikmer, 25, were issued summonses April 16 on suspicion of stealing $37 in gas from the Fruita Co-Op.

■ A red BMX-style bicycle was found abandoned in Vita Valley Park April 17.

■ A fence in the 100 block of North Cherry Street was tagged with graffiti April 17.

■ A 16-year-old boy was issued a summons Thursday at Fruita Monument High School on suspicion of marijuana possession.

■ A revolver was stolen from a home in the 700 block of Gold Rush Drive Thursday.

■ A 9-year-old reported a suspicious vehicle in the area of Rim Rock Elementary School Friday.

■ About 18 ratchet straps, valued at $40, on Friday were reported stolen over a period of time from a billboard in the 1800 block of Interstate 70 Business Loop.

■ Allen Stout, 21, was issued a summons Saturday on suspicion of disturbing the peace.

■ Peter Dresen, 24, was arrested Saturday on suspicion of third-degree assault.
