Woman reports intruder
Brandon Pecha, 21, was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of first-degree criminal trespass and criminal mischief for allegedly breaking into a home in the 400 block of Morning Dove Drive, causing $500 in damage to the front door, while the homeowners were home, according to an incident report from the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office.
A woman in the house awoke to find Pecha, whom she did not know, reportedly in her closet. Pecha reportedly told the woman he was in his house and started naming relatives in the area before asking her how to get out. The woman reportedly showed Pecha the back door, where deputies arrested him, the report said. Pecha denied breaking into the home.
