Internet luring suspect

A Clifton man who was out on bond from an Arapahoe County charge on suspicion of Internet luring of a child was jailed by Mesa County sheriff’s deputies Thursday on suspicion of violating the conditions of that bond.

Gerald Bond, 47, was taken to Mesa County Jail on suspicion that he was dating a 38-year-old woman who has two children, a 14-year-old son and 16-year-old daughter. The conditions of his bond includes bans from going onto the Internet and having any contact with children under the age of 18, according to his arrest affidavit.

The mother told deputies she was unaware of the Arapahoe County charges against him or the conditions of his bond.

According to the Colorado Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce, the Aurora Police Department arrested Bond in August 2011 on suspicion of Internet luring after he had fled to North Carolina, from where he was extradited.
