Man accused of menacing
Daniel Ryan Alcantara, 19, was arrested on suspicion of felony menacing after allegedly holding up a knife and yelling about killing people while in an altercation with his parents on Wednesday.
Officers with the Fruita Police Department responded to a home in the 500 block of Lois Drive on a report that Alcantara was acting violently, damaging things in the home.
According to an arrest affidavit, Alcantara was upset that his marijuana set-up had been knocked over and he blamed his mother, deleting her computer files. When contacted by police, Alcantara ran from police and later was arrested without incident. Alcantara then became violent when he learned he was facing charges and it took three police officers to restrain him, the affidavit said.
According to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office:
■ Kenneth Eugene Wilcox, 34, was arrested on suspicion of failing to register as a sex offender.
■ Lynell Brunner, 31, was arrested Thursday in the 2900 block of View Drive on suspicion of second-degree assault, attempted motor vehicle theft, criminal mischief and trespassing.
■ Deputies responded to a report of vandalism in the 3200 block of D½ Road.
According to the Grand Junction Police Department:
■ Abdei Jama Awil, 31, was arrested Friday on suspicion of second-degree criminal trespass of a fenced area.
■ Tyler Jacob Crouch, 24, was arrested Friday on suspicion of possession of drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, criminal impersonation and two counts of failure to appear in court.
■ Gayle Denise Downs, 56, was arrested Friday on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and not having insurance.
According to the Colorado State Patrol:
■ Troy Dennis Gross, 43, was arrested Friday on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol with three or more prior DUI convictions, driving under the influence of alcohol, driving a vehicle with a suspended license and failing to use turn signals.
