Truck plows into home
Someone crashed a Ford F150 into a home in the 1400 block of North 17th Street early Saturday, then fled the scene.
Officers with the Grand Junction Police Department were on the scene within seconds of receiving a 911 emergency call but could not locate the driver.
There were no injuries inside the residence, even though it was occupied at the time. The amount of damage to the home was unknown.
Police are investigating the crash.
According to the Grand Junction Police Department:
■ Someone stole money and a transaction device, possibly a credit card, while at a business in the 1400 block of North 12th Street on Dec. 7, then used the same device at another business in the 1800 block of North 12th Street to purchase goods valued at less than $500.
■ Someone damaged a vehicle Wednesday while parked in the 2400 block of U.S. Highway 6&50, causing less than $1,000 in damage.
■ A 16-year-old girl was issued a summons Dec. 2 on suspicion of stealing about $50 in items from a business in the 1400 block of North Fifth Street.
■ A 14-year-old boy was issued a summons Dec. 6 on suspicion of shoplifting less than $100 in items from a retail store in the 200 block of Rood Avenue and being in possession of drug paraphernalia.
■ Someone stole property valued at more than $1,000 from a home Dec. 7 in the 800 block of Elm Avenue.
■ Someone stole items Tuesday valued at less than $500 from a vehicle in the 2800 block of Orchard Avenue.
■ Jason Chavez, 41, was jailed Wednesday on suspicion of threatening someone to change their testimony and violating a protection order by consuming alcohol.
■ Someone entered a storage building Tuesday in the 2400 block of Industrial Boulevard and rummaged through the property but did not take anything.
■ Lisa Bettle, 44, of Grand Junction was issued a summons Thursday on suspicion of shoplifting items at a business in the 2700 block of U.S. Highway 50.
■ Someone took less than $500 worth of property from a vehicle Wednesday in the 1800 block of North 12th Street.
■ Jamie Nix, 34, of Fruita was issued a summons Thursday on suspicion of shoplifting items from a store in the 200 block of Rood Avenue.
■ Someone stole an unknown number of items from a vehicle Tuesday in the 900 block of Colorado Avenue.
■ Someone stole items valued at less than $500 from a vehicle Friday in the 2400 block of Theresa Lane.
The Mesa County Sheriff’s Department did not release a jail log or daily activity report on Saturday.
