Woman accused of break-in

Mindie Lee Borges, 35, was arrested Friday afternoon in the 100 block of South 10th Street on suspicion of second-degree burglary, criminal mischief, theft and obstruction of phone service, according to the Grand Junction Police Department.

A woman at a residence in the 100 block of South 10th Street reported hearing a crash in her bathroom Friday, then finding Borges crawling in through the bathroom window, according to an arrest affidavit. The woman told officers Borges appeared to be high on methamphetamine and broke a towel rack and pulled down a shower curtain in the process of getting through the window, according to the affidavit, and is suspected of leaving the residence with an undisclosed amount of cash, the woman’s phone and a pack of Marlboro cigarettes.

Borges was contacted by police officers the same day in a separate incident at South Seventh Street and Ute Avenue and booked into the Mesa County Jail.

Man arrested at strip club

 

Dustin Keith Leonhardt, 26, of Divide, was arrested on suspicion of criminal mischief Dec. 18 at Fantasy Gentleman’s Club, 2258 Colex Drive, according to the Grand Junction Police Department.

According to a police report, Leonhardt was intoxicated and was asked to leave the club early Dec. 18. He punched a hole in one of the club’s interior walls while he was being escorted out of the venue, according to the report.

Leonhardt was restrained outside of the business until officers could arrive, according to the report.

 

According to the Grand Junction Police Department:

■ Terry Douglas Banks, 39, of Burbank, Calif., was arrested on an outstanding warrant Saturday at the Grand Junction Greyhound Bus Station, 230 S. Fifth St., after bus station employees asked that Banks be removed for trespassing after swearing at the employees.

■ Adam Wayne Stice, 36, was arrested Friday on suspicion of theft from a motor vehicle, theft and first-degree criminal trespass of an automobile after property valued at less than $500 was taken from a vehicle.

■ Someone unlawfully entered an unlocked vehicle Dec. 18 in the 2400 block of U.S. Highway 6&50 and removed less than $500 worth of property.

According to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Department:

■ An assault was reported Sunday.

 

According to the Fruita Police Department:

■ A 17-year-old boy and a 16-year-old boy were issued summonses Nov. 28 on suspicion of possession of less than 2 ounces of marijuana in the 1100 block of Wildcat Avenue.

■ Officers responded Dec. 15 to a report of two handguns stolen in the 100 block of North Maple Street. The report is being investigated.

■ An officer took a report Dec. 3 of a Fruita woman giving $8,804 to an unknown person because she believed she had won the Jamaican lottery. The fraud case is being investigated.

 

According to the Montrose County Sheriff’s Department:

■ A deputy responded Friday to a report of a vehicle fire at U.S. Highway 50 and Jay Jay Road.

■ David Swann, 44, was arrested Friday on suspicion of third-degree assault in the area of Kentucky and 6450 roads.
