Vehicle hits gas pump

Leaving a vehicle in gear wasn’t the smartest idea for one customer at Fruita’s Co-op Country, 1650 U.S. Highway 6&50 on Dec. 12. According to the Fruita Police Department, a man left his vehicle while fueling it up. When he returned, the vehicle had crashed into a pump, damaging it.

The driver left the scene without reporting the incident, the department said.

 

According to the Fruita Police Department:

■ Several saddles valued at more than $1,000 were stolen during an eviction at a home in the 500 block of Garnet Drive on Dec. 4.

■  Items valued at more than $1,000 were vandalized at a home in the 1100 block of Locust Street on Dec. 13.

■  A person in the 1000 block of Cedar Way sent more than $1,400 to a fraudulent company after being harassed by people from the business on Dec. 17.

■  A 9-year-old was assaulted by another 9-year-old at the skate park, 273 N. Cherry St., on Dec. 17.

■  Someone fraudulently opened a J.Crew credit card using information from a person who lives in the 900 block of Malachite Drive and racked up $1,241 in charges. The incident was reported Dec. 18.

■  Clothing valued at $214 was taken from an unlocked vehicle parked in the 200 block of Honeysuckle Circle on Dec. 18.

■  A 16-year-old boy was issued a summons for marijuana possession at Fruita Monument High School on Dec. 20.

■  Officers were called to a home in the 500 block of Libra Way on Saturday after a man there made several threats to family members. The man was taken to Colorado West Mental Health.

■  A 15-year-old boy in the 1600 block of Ruby Lee Drive received a summons for marijuana possession and possession of drug paraphernalia on Dec. 23.

According to the Grand Junction Police Department:

■ Ernest Sanchez, 44, received a summons on Sunday after repeated warnings about trespassing at 225 N. Fifth St.

■  A 17-year-old boy who lives in the 1400 block of Wellington Avenue was arrested on warrants Monday and taken to the Grand Mesa Youth Detention Center.

■  George Fred Martinez, 29, was contacted at Walmart, 2881 North Ave., after allegedly parking in the fire lane, refusing to move his vehicle and blocking foot traffic. Martinez was arrested on a warrant.

■  Ricky Martinez, 50, was contacted in the 1200 block of Gunnison Avenue after an investigation showed he struck another person and caused injuries. Martinez was booked into jail on Monday.

■  A person was sexually assaulted in the northeast section of Grand Junction on Monday.

■  Someone stole items valued at less than $1,000 from a vehicle parked in the 1000 block of Orchard Avenue on Dec. 20.
