Two men assaulted

Two men were assaulted Tuesday at the Bookcliff Activity Center, 540 29 1/4 Road. One of the men was taken to the hospital with “significant injuries to his face.” An investigation is ongoing, according to the Grand Junction Police Department.

Illegal weapons alleged

 

Glen Greuling, 52, address unknown, was ticketed Thursday on suspicion of illegally carrying a concealed weapon after he went into the Wayne N. Aspinall Federal Building, 402 Rood Ave., to conduct business and allegedly forgot he had two prohibited knives in his possession, according to the Grand Junction Police Department.

 

According to the Grand Junction Police Department:

■ Jacinta Jayne Goad, 27, 845 Teller Ave., was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of second-degree burglary of controlled substances, possession of a weapon by a previous offender, theft of between $500 and $1,000, possession of a controlled substance and criminal mischief of less than $100. Goad allegedly broke a window of a home in the 800 block of Teller Avenue and stole prescription pills, according to her arrest affidavit.

■ Someone stole more than $1,000 in merchandise from Sam’s Club, 1040 Independent Ave., on Tuesday. The case is being investigated, according to the Grand Junction Police Department.

 

According to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Department:

■ Lindsey Kristine Peters, 32, 180 Edlun Road, was arrested Thursday on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

■ A man was given a trespassing warning Thursday after he showed up at a residence in the 3200 block of Mesa Avenue intoxicated and tried to enter the residence despite not living there nor knowing anyone who did.

■ A juvenile girl reportedly had inappropriate communication, which was sexual in nature, with an adult male on Facebook. The incident was reported Sunday. It’s being investigated.

 

According to the Garfield County Sheriff’s Department:

■ A vehicle and an assortment of tools were reported stolen Tuesday from a home in the Parachute area. The case is being investigated.
