Teen pot-smoking alleged
Tremaine Garcia, 18, was arrested Thursday afternoon on suspicion of smoking marijuana with a 14-year-old.
According to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy responded to the Racquet Club Apartments to assist with a 14-year-old with medical issues, vomiting after allegedly smoking a “blunt” — or marijuana cigar — according to an arrest affidavit. The child admitted to smoking marijuana with Garcia Feb. 9 at a location on the Redlands, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Garcia was arrested on suspicion of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Records office closed Monday
The agency lobby of the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office, including Records and Civil divisions, will be closed in observance of Presidents’ Day on Monday. Inmate visitations on Tuesday and Thursday will not be interrupted because of the closure on Monday.
All agency functions will resume per normal business hours on Tuesday, starting at 9 a.m.
According to the Grand Junction Police Department:
■ Someone entered a vehicle parked in the 600 block of Teller Avenue Sunday night and stole items valued at less than $2,000.
■ Corey Kehrm, 47, was arrested and released on a summons Monday morning after a traffic accident at S. Seventh Street and South Avenue on suspicion of driving with a denied license.
■ Nathan Locke, 33, was arrested and jailed Monday evening in the 500 block of W. Hall Avenue on suspicion of violating the terms of a protection order.
■ Madeleine Boone, 20, was arrested and released on a summons Tuesday afternoon in the 2800 block of North Avenue on suspicion of assault.
■ Justin Rich, 38 was arrested and released on a summons Tuesday night at Unaweep and Aspen avenues on suspicion of driving with a revoked license.
■ Wednesday morning, someone stole a vehicle valued at more than $2,000 from a business in the 2500 block of U.S. Highway 6&50.
According to the Montrose County Sheriff’s Department:
■ Colton Sederberg, 20, was arrested on an outstanding warrant Thursday morning while stopped for speeding.
■ Mark Blakeley and Brenda Blakeley, both 44, were arrested Thursday night in the 67800 block of Tumbleweed Road on suspicion of domestic violence and assault.
