Assault on woman reported

David Robby Johnson, 29, 3233 White Ave. No. 3, was arrested Saturday night on suspicion of assault and domestic violence.

According to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Department, a next-door neighbor said she saw Johnson hit his female victim in the face with a closed fist. The two women had been having a “spa day” at the neighbor’s apartment with the victim’s two young children, according to an arrest affidavit. When they returned to the victim’s home, Johnson called the victim names and hit her, according to the affidavit.

Deputies reported Johnson appeared very intoxicated, according to the affidavit, and was combative at the Mesa County Jail.

 

According to the Grand Junction Police Department:

■ Juan Prieto Jr., 35, was issued a summons Feb. 6 on suspicion of stealing items valued at less than $100 from Walmart, 2881 North Ave.

■ Christine Slivon, 60, was issued a summons Feb. 13 on suspicion of stealing items valued at less than $100 from a business at 2424 U.S. Highway 6&50.

■ Glenn Greuling, 52, was issued a summons Thursday afternoon in the 400 block of Rood Avenue on suspicion of possessing controlled substances and a weapons violation.

■ Alexander McCauley, 18, was issued a summons Thursday night near 28 Road and Hall Avenue on suspicion of underage alcohol consumption and being intoxicated in the roadway.

■ Mark A. Dores, 18, was arrested Friday morning in the 1900 block of North Sixth Street on suspicion of damaging the property of someone with whom he’d been in an intimate relationship, causing a loss of less than $500.

■ Blaine Ellifritz, 34, was arrested Friday afternoon on suspicion of trespassing and stealing items valued at less than $500 from Walmart, 2881 North Ave.

 

According to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Department:

■ A Clifton woman reported her wallet containing more than $1,000 in cash was stolen from her home Friday night.

■ A Grand Junction Regional Center resident was taken to the Mesa County Jail on Saturday night for a “time out” on suspicion she bit a Regional Center staff member on the arm.

 

According to the Fruita Police Department:

■ Alicia Kirnie, 29, was issued a summons Jan. 29, on suspicion of shoplifting from City Market.

■ Someone kicked in the rear door of Munchies Pizza & Deli Feb. 2, causing about $1,700 in damage, and stole about $30 in cash and two cell phones valued at $130.

■ Jeffrey Dale Pierce, 43, was arrested Feb. 2 on suspicion of unlawfully entering a residence and assaulting his girlfriend with a knife, as well as damaging property.

■ A black 2004 GMC Yukon Denali valued at $11,300 was stolen from the 500 block of West Aspen Avenue on Feb. 4 and later recovered.

■ Someone tried to pry open the door of Sacred Heart Church Feb. 4, causing damage estimated at $100.

■ An iPhone valued at $250 was stolen from a locker in the Fruita 8-9 School Feb. 5.

■ Officers investigated a theft by phone Feb. 6 in the 1400 block of Windsor Park Drive. An unknown person received $22,000 for services that were promised but not provided.

■ Richard Farley, 41, was arrested Feb. 8 on suspicion of damaging the first door of an apartment in the 100 block of South Park Square, causing about $99 in damage.

 

According to the Montrose County Sheriff’s Department:

■ Mail boxes were damaged in the 56200 block of Holly Road and the 15000 block of 6000 Road on Friday morning.

■ Juanita Dunagan, 30, was arrested in the 700 block of Spring Creed Road on Friday afternoon on suspicion of violating a protection order.

■ David Gonzalez-Mendieta, 30, was arrested early Sunday morning in the 59700 block of U.S. Highway 50 in Olathe on suspicion of violating a protection order, after reporting trespassing in progress.

■ Deputies responded to a report of a vicious dog in the 14500 block of 6355 Road on Sunday night.

■ Steven Brooks, 53, was arrested Sunday night in the 9000 block of 6125 Road in Olathe on suspicion of third-degree assault.

■ Frederick Yacovetta, 29, was arrested Sunday night on suspicion of violating a protection order.
