Arrest after couple fights
Kaitlynn Culwell, 24, was arrested Wednesday morning on suspicion of assault.
According to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded a report of an assault in the 400 block of Topaz Drive. Culwell and her live-in boyfriend were involved in a physical altercation, according to an arrest affidavit, during which Culwell tore up a Valentine’s Day card she had given him because she was mad.
Culwell then struck him several times, according to the affidavit, causing minor injuries on the back of his neck.
According to the Grand Junction Police Department:
■ Madison Smith, 18, and Hunter Downing, 19, were arrested and released on summonses Saturday morning at First Street and North Avenue on suspicion of possessing or consuming alcohol; Smith also was arrested and released on a summons on suspicion of possessing marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
■ Cassidy Earley, 18, was arrested Sunday morning in the 2600 block of Belford Avenue on suspicion of third-degree assault, domestic violence and possessing alcohol.
■ Tonja Baker, 41, was arrested Monday night on suspicion of violating a restraining order and the conditions of a bond.
■ Someone stole items valued at less than $2,000 from a vehicle parked in the 1000 block of White Avenue Monday night.
According to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office:
■ Alexis Stucker, 21, was arrested Wednesday morning on suspicion of repeatedly slapping her boyfriend in the face while she was drunk and the two were fighting.
According to the Fruita Police Department:
■ Two bicycles valued at $2,000 were stolen from the 1400 block of Windsor Park Drive Feb. 4.
■ Someone stole tools valued at $1,450 from a vehicle parked in the 400 block of Logan Lane Feb. 4.
■ A notebook computer valued at $125 was stolen from a home in the 100 block of Bonnie Vista Drive Feb. 6.
■ Sinda Sakala, 26, was issued a summons Feb. 6 on suspicion of careless driving after a two-vehicle crash at East Ottley Avenue and North Pine Street.
■ A blue Diamondback bicycle valued at $300 was stolen from a home in the 1100 block of E. Carolina Avenue Feb. 7.
■ Charles Vanlandingham, 30, was arrested Feb. 9 in the 100 block of Chelsea Court on suspicion of hitting a woman in the head, causing minor injury.
■ Paul Obrien, 65, was arrested Feb. 10 in the 100 block of South Coulson Street on suspicion of violating a protection order.
■ A 13-year-old girl was issued a summons at Fruita 8/9 School Feb. 12 on suspicion of causing $137 in damage to another student’s clothing.
■ Megan Vandellen, 25, and Erick Bingham, 31, were issued summonses Feb. 13 on suspicion of stealing alcohol from In the Middle Liquors, 303 U.S. Highway 6&50; Vandellen also was arrested on outstanding warrants.
■ A 16-year-old boy was arrested Monday on suspicion of stealing items valued at $406 from a residence in the 200 block of North Mesa Street.
