Drug sales alleged in arrest
Monica Kitts, 36, Nathan Kurtz, 38, and Trevor Rodak, 20, were arrested on suspicion of charges related to drug distribution on Thursday after a sting operation set up by officers in the Western Slope Drug Task Force.
Officers, using a confidential informant, set up a deal to purchase 8 ounces of methamphetamine for $8,000. The alleged sellers arranged to meet the informant in the parking lot of the Grand Vista Hotel, 2790 Crossroads Boulevard. As the three were being arrested, an officer located a handgun on Kitts. Kitts told officers she had rented two rooms at the hotel. Officers searched the two rooms and found another handgun, single servings of meth, drug paraphernalia, meth pipes and baggies used for distribution.
