Texan arrested on warrant

•  Ronnie David Plaxco, 37, of Odessa, Texas, was arrested Saturday afternoon on a warrant out of Weld County after officers from the Grand Junction Police Department contacted him in the 2800 block of North Avenue.
Plaxco, according to Weld County Sheriff’s Department records, had a $15,000 warrant issued for his arrest Wednesday related to a case of driving under revocation.
The officers discovered Plaxco’s warrant after issuing him a summons on suspicion of trespassing at a business on North Avenue.
He was booked into Mesa County Jail later that day.

Theft, forgery suspected

•  James Ryan Ullrich, 21, 1484 18 Road, was arrested Saturday afternoon on suspicion of felony theft and six counts of forgery after officers from the Grand Junction Police Department contacted him in the 1100 block of Mesa Avenue.
Ullrich was booked into Mesa County Jail later that night.
   
  According to the Grand Junction Police Department:

•  A thief stole a 2007 black Kia Sportage from the driveway of a home in the 900 block of Glenwood Avenue sometime Friday night.

•  A thief broke into a car in the 300 block of West Valley Circle on Saturday morning and stole more than $1,000 worth of property.

•  A thief broke into an unlocked car parked in on Santa Fe Drive on Saturday afternoon and stole more than $1,000 worth of property.

    According to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Department:

•  A thief broke into a car parked in the 400 block of Coronado Court sometime Saturday night and stole several items.
