Long list of meth arrests

Jennifer Hines, 27, of Silt was arrested about 8 p.m. Thursday night by deputies with the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office’s Street Crimes Unit on suspicion of possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and various traffic violations, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Hines was arrested at least twice last year for possessing methamphetamine and was nabbed again Thursday night for the same offense, this time as she was reportedly on her way to sell the drug, the Sheriff’s Office said.

Hines was arrested after deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 400 block of 30 Road.

Deputies said Hines tried to hide more than 14 grams of meth inside a body cavity, then admitted she intended to sell it on Orchard Mesa for $600.

The Sheriff’s Office said Grand Junction police arrested Hines twice last year for possession of meth and drug paraphernalia. She was booked into Mesa County Jail a total of five times last year.

 

According to the Grand Junction Police Department:

■ Eric Ludwick, 40, was arrested Jan. 16 on suspicion of criminal impersonation, resisting arrest, tampering with evidence, possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute and a warrant.

■ Someone stole more than $2,000 from a vehicle parked Monday in the 700 block of Horizon Drive.

■ Two 11-year-old boys were arrested and released on summons Jan. 16 on suspicion of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia at East Middle School, 830 Gunnison Ave.

 

According to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office:

■ An arson fire was reported Jan. 6. An investigation is ongoing and no further information was released.

 

According to the Montrose County Sheriff’s Office:

■ A shotgun was reported stolen Thursday in the 16500 block of 6450 Road and Christopher Pahl, 39, was cited on suspicion of the theft.

■ Joyce Ramsey, 61, was cited Thursday on suspicion for dog at large and having a vicious dog after a dog bite was reported in the 63900 block of Nancy Way.
