Assault by girl, 18, alleged
Amber Mercer, 18, was cited on suspicion of assault Thursday at 2601 Belford Avenue after a man was struck in the face. A summons issued in the case said officers were shown a video of the incident.
According to the Grand Junction Police Department:
■ A man reported Thursday he was menaced with a weapon at Quincy’s, 609 Main St. The case will be sent to the District Attorney’s Office for review.
■ Charles Williams, 51, was arrested Friday on suspicion of violation of a restraining order in the 1000 block of Belford Avenue.
■ A vehicle was reportedly towed Jan. 17 from 1032 Ute Ave. without the owner’s approval.
■ Property, including a credit card, was stolen from a business in the 700 block of Maldonado Street on Tuesday. Just less than $500 was then charged to the stolen card.
■ A woman reported Tuesday her ex-boyfriend assaulted her and burglarized her home in the 2900 block of Paula Lane. The man who was inside the home said he was also assaulted and denied committing a burglary. The case was sent to the District Attorney’s Office for review.
■ Kenneth Cox, 35, was cited Jan. 18 on suspicion of shoplifting in the 200 block of Rood Avenue.
The Mesa County Sheriff’s Office on Sunday did not release reports or jail booking information.
