Arrest after bizarre antics

A 32-year-old man accused of throwing a woman against a wall — before drawing a realistic looking airsoft gun and urging her friends to “come on his property and ‘make my day’” Sunday — faces a felony menacing charge, court records said.

Korey Russell Hatcher was arrested early Sunday after police responded to his home at 233 Chipeta Ave. and placed him at gunpoint in the spotlight of a patrol vehicle, according to the affidavit for his arrest.

“He ran back into 233 Chipeta and closed the door behind him,” the report said.

Hatcher later agreed to come out with his hands up; while the woman and her friends reported that he had pulled a “9 mm of some kind” on them, the only “weapons” police found in the home were two realistic looking airsoft guns.

Hatcher could be charged with felony menacing, misdemeanor harassment and a sentence-enhancing count of domestic violence.

He remains in custody on a $2,000 cash-only bond, according to jail records.
