Donations for child stolen
Someone stole a coffee can filled with donations for a child with leukemia from the front counter of Go-Fer Foods, 106 S. Park Square, in Fruita on Dec. 7, according to the Fruita Police Department. The amount of money in the jar is unknown and there was no surveillance video available.
According to the Fruita Police Department:
■ Someone stole more than $2,000 from a person in the 500 block of Raptor Road on Sept. 21.
■ A backpack and its contents valued at less than $150 were stolen in the 200 block of South Maple Avenue on Dec. 25.
■ Items valued at less than $50 were stolen from a vehicle in the 100 block of South Sycamore Street.
■ Household items valued at less than $50 were stolen from a home in the 800 block of East Ottley Avenue.
■ Officers responded to the 600 block of Stone Mountain Drive for a report of suspicious footprints in the snow near the driver’s side of multiple vehicles in the area on Dec. 28.
■ Daniel Burrows, 26, received a summons Dec. 29 on suspicion of having an at-large dog that was found in the 400 block of Breeze Drive.
■ Someone spray-painted the cinder block wall in the alley of the 800 block of East Cleveland Avenue, causing damage of $200 on Dec. 25.
■ Heather Jones, 38, received a summons Thursday on suspicion of stealing items valued at less than $50 in the 1800 block of J 2/10 Road.
■ Someone stole items valued at less than $50 from a store in the 500 block of Raptor Road. An arrest warrant is pending for the suspect.
According to the Grand Junction Police Department:
■ Someone removed vehicle parts from a business in the 2500 block of U.S. Highway 6&50, causing a loss of less than $5,000, on Dec. 18.
■ Jeffrey Duff, 23, has been accused of taking property valued less than $50 from a business in the 2800 block of North Avenue on Friday.
■ Derreck Dewitt, 19, and Vanessa Gazzillo, 18, were arrested Sunday after being contacted in the 600 block of North Avenue and being found with a suspected schedule II controlled substance.
