Man accused of road rage
Howard Gold, 69, was cited Saturday on suspicion of disorderly conduct after he was accused of getting out of his vehicle, walking up to another vehicle driven by a woman at Bradley Sinclair, 2498 Patterson Road, and striking a window before yelling at the other driver to move her “expletive car,” according to a police summons. The man admitted only that he had approached the vehicle and pushed on the window.
Person stranded in river
The Grand Junction Fire Department was called around 5:35 p.m. Saturday on a report of one person stranded on an island in the Colorado River, near 29 Road, during a float trip. Rescuers secured the raft with rope and pulled the person to safety by 6:10 p.m. Six firefighters responded to the call.
According to the Grand Junction Police Department:
■ Bradley Sutton, 66, was cited Friday on suspicion of false reporting to authorities and three-degree trespassing after being contacted while camping under a “no trespassing” sign at Puffer Belly, 337 S. First St.
■ Douglas Hamann, 56, was cited Friday on suspicion of trespassing and disorderly conduct at 830 Glenwood Ave.
■ Bruce Blaisdell, 30, was cited Friday on suspicion of possessing drug paraphernalia, driving under suspension and turning where prohibited at 28 Road and North Avenue.
■ Bajon Nanca, 21, was cited Friday on suspicion of shoplifting at 1830 North 12th St.
■ Scott Raffensberger, 54, and Yvette Dores, 47, were cited Friday on suspicion of trespassing at 1303 Pitkin Ave.
■ Less than $50 cash was stolen Friday after someone forced entry to a coin operated machine at a business in the 500 block of U.S. Highway 50.
■ Nicholas Sawyer, 32, was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of third-degree assault, child abuse, obstructing a peace officer and being a pedestrian on the highway under the influence of alcohol.
■ Shanece Dannibale, 22, and Robert Carr, 22, were cited on suspicion of shoplifting at 2881 North Ave.
■ Ryan Conley-Mister, 22, was cited Wednesday on suspicion of trespassing at 1225 Bunting Ave.
■ Ryan Bost, 33, was cited June 24 on suspicion of harassment in the 2900 block of Bunting Avenue.
■ Someone reported June 23 that an unknown person had entered an unlocked vehicle at 460 Bula Drive. No property was missing.
The Mesa County Sheriff’s Department on Sunday did not release jail booking or activity reports.
